
The second annual Green Mountain Renaissance Festival will take place on July 21- 22 and 28-29, 2007, at the Champlain Valley Exposition Fairgrounds in Essex, Vermont.

2007 Press Release for the Green Mountain Renaissance Festival

The 2nd annual Green Mountain Renaissance Festival will take place this July 21-22 and 28-29 at the Champlain Valley Exposition Fairgrounds, in Essex Junction, Vermont. The gates are open from 11 am to 5 pm daily. The Festival is geared toward families and designed to give patrons a taste of life in the 16th century, during the reign of Edward VI.
Once inside the gates, there are free events, such as musical and theatrical performances, country dances, juggling and jester shows, horse and carriage rides and much more going on all day. Faire-goers are encouraged to participate in with the King and his court in games, human chess, knighting and wooing ceremonies and a series of court intrigues throughout their stay.
There is also a thriving artisans' market to visit, a period food court and a gaming area where patrons can learn period skills such as fencing, archery and axe throwing. The Festival is suitable for all ages and all tastes. Tented performance and craft areas allow it to be open in any weather.
